Puppy Welfare Policy
Effective Date: 3/5/26

At Puppy Yoga Social, the health, safety, and well-being of our puppies is our highest priority. Our classes are designed to create a fun experience for participants while ensuring that every puppy is cared for in a safe, comfortable, and responsible environment.

Our Commitment to Puppy Welfare

We partner only with responsible breeders, rescues, and animal care providers who prioritize the health and ethical treatment of their animals. Every puppy participating in our classes is raised in a safe environment and receives proper veterinary care.

Age and Health Requirements

To ensure the safety and well-being of all animals:
-
Puppies participating in classes are typically between 8 and 16 weeks old.
-
Puppies must be healthy, properly vaccinated for their age, and cleared to participate.
-
Any puppy showing signs of illness, stress, or fatigue will be removed from the class immediately.

Limited Class Time

Puppies are never overworked. To ensure they remain happy and comfortable:
-
Puppies participate in limited class sessions with breaks in between.
-
They always have access to a quiet rest area, water, and a safe space away from participants.
-
The number of classes per puppy is limited to avoid overstimulation.

Safe and Gentle Interaction

All participants are required to follow guidelines that prioritize puppy safety:
-
Puppies must be handled gently and respectfully.
-
Chasing, grabbing, or picking up puppies without guidance is not allowed.
-
Staff members supervise all interactions between participants and puppies.

If a participant behaves in a way that could harm or stress a puppy, staff may intervene or ask the participant to leave.

Clean and Safe Environment

We maintain a clean and sanitary environment for both puppies and participants:
-
Mats and surfaces are regularly sanitized using pet-safe cleaning products.
-
Any accidents are cleaned immediately.
-
Puppies are never placed in unsafe or overcrowded conditions.

Socialization and Enrichment

Puppy yoga provides a positive environment that helps puppies:
-
Become comfortable around people
-
Experience new sights and sounds
-
Develop healthy socialization skills

Our sessions are designed to be playful, enriching, and low-stress for the puppies.

Our Promise

We believe that puppy yoga should always be fun for people and safe for puppies. If at any point a puppy appears stressed, tired, or uncomfortable, their needs come first.
Their well-being will always take priority over the class.
